2010 HAPPY ENDINGS!!!
TRIXI
Female, approx 1.5 years old, 4kg. She was found on the street in April being bullied by bigger street dogs, covered in dirt and garbage. She had to be shaved to remove all of the matts and filth, but she will have a lovely poodle coat soon. Trixi is very friendly and playful. She loves people and dogs alike. Sometimes she is hesitant with larger dogs, but inevitably she ends up running around and playing with them. She is fine with cats and loves to smother and kiss children. She is very attentive and always comes when called and is very affectionate. She does like to be the center of attention and will try to push others out of the way to get cuddles.

DAX
Dax, is a handsome boy, he is very quiet but also likes a good play session! He looks like he is a big dog, but he is actually in between a small and medium size range. He was a stray trying to find food when Chelsea saw him outside a church. He was malnurished and weak. Chelsea took him home and discovered his sweet personality, but she also discovered that he had Transmittable Venereal Tumors. TVT is something found in warmer climates, it is passed from dog to dog through sexual encounters, yet another great reason pets to be spayed and neutered! The good thing about TVT is it is treatable. Dax under went 2 surgeries where the tumors were cut out and many sessions of 2 different chemo drugs. Anyone interested in Dax, should read up on TVT before adopting. Dax loves people, especially children. Everyone who meets him falls in love instantly. He enjoys the company of the dogs in the house and is extremely gentle with the puppies. However when he is walking on leash he makes sure all the dogs around know he is the top dog and may bark or act up around them. This probably stems from living on the streets and fending for himself against other street dogs, but we are confident it can be corrected. He needs a home, where the people have the time and patience to work on his first interactions with other dogs. We are looking for applications that are willing to meet Dax on his first day of arrival and foster to adopt, as all our foster homes currently have many dogs. We want his arrival to be as stress free as possible, and a home where he is the only dog would be the best situation. He won't arrive until late spring/early summer. If you are interested please email meximutt@live.ca

REX
Rex was rescued from a park on the outskirts of PV, where he was digging amongst trash for a meal. He is about 3 months old and only 4kilos...he is under weight right now but is busy putting on the pounds and he will be a real beauty! He is playful but also loves snuggles. We have no idea what mix he is, however some people think he looks like a Xolo (mexican hairless) but with hair! He will most likely be a medium size dog full grown. Email if interested in filling out an application!

BRODY
This little man is a sweetie! Brody is about 6 months old and quite clearly a terrier mix. (photo shows him at 3 months old) He was rescued off the street in Puerto Vallarta in November. He had to have treatment for a skin issue and parasites, but now he is a happy, healthy guy. He has a lot of energy and is happiest running on the beach and digging holes in the sand.

BUBBLES
Bubbles arrived at the home of a friend of ours during a rainstorm with her emaciated best friend. The other dog was adopted, leaving Bubbles in need of her own home. She is about a year old and weighs 35 lbs. She looks like a puppy, with giant ears and a playful personality. She is curious, polite and respectful and she knows she must sit for a treat or a meal. She enjoys wrestling with other dogs of all shapes and sizes and loves to bury her nose in the sand. Bubbles loves affection but sometimes seems insecure or uncertain. This will change with consistent care from her new family. We are looking for an adult family without children or cats to adopt this beauty.

ROXY
Roxy is approx. 4 months old. She was dumped through the window at Chelsea's home while Chelsea was out. The story of where she came from will always be a mystery! She looks like a mini Lab or Rhodesian Ridgeback. She is sweet and beautiful, but very high energy! We think she will be under 30 lbs full grown, but with not knowing her past it is hard to know for sure.

ISLA
Isla was found living in a tire in front of a dumpster with her week old baby. She was matted, starving and just trying to make it day by day. She was taken in by Chelsea, but was very shy and nervous. Very shortly after learning about love and gentle humans, she became a wonderful, cuddly, sweet little lady! As you can see below from the photos, which show her development from December until now - she has blossomed into a beautiful dog! She was adopted by a friend of ours who travelled to Puerto Vallarta and met her while on vacation.

LUCA
Don't you just want to cuddle this little furball?! Luca is Isla's son and has come a long way from being born on the streets. He is a little ball of love and energy and has been adopted by a family in Victoria. He will live a very happy healthy life with his new family! Thank you so much to Anne and Margaret who helped foster Isla and Luca and showed them love and compassion.
